Blast in Boulder.
It’s getting ugly where the Buffaloes roam. The question will be not if but when Dan Hawkins will lose his job. His handling of this seasons mess has been horrible. He’s lost his team and, much more dangerously, lost the support of CU boosters, who, in effect, have the power to buy out his contract if they chose to. Money talks, and Hawk needs to walk. Simple as that.
The Favre Flu…much worse than swine. And a Page from the Tribune. (scroll down)
I don’t know about you but the whole Brett Favre thing has really gotten old. The retirements, the comebacks, the switch from team to team, the miss all of training camp because “I’m a prima donna”. So this is the idead I came up with combining two topical events into one.

And to see the page I’m on at the Chicago Tribune scroll below. It’s pretty cool. I’ll let you know when they have a spot on their site for the archives.

Scrambled.
I’ve been meaning to do this cartoon for awhile now and finally got around to this very topical issue. In one of my many secret identities I do cartoons for the North Metro News here in Denver. They are always high school related and this just seemed like the right time to use this. I’m interested to hear your feedback on this one. It’s hard hitting about an equally as hard hitting subject.

Don’t get Defensive
The Broncos didn’t. I don’t like Bye weeks in the NFL for multiple reasons. It leaves NFL fans totally lost for the weekend their favorite team is off and it can disrupt the routine of players and coaches. I don’t think the layoff helped the Broncos, but really, it was the Ravens defense that beat the Broncos yesterday. That and the intensity of a desperate team. So, over all, I wouldn’t hit the panic button yet. Next week will be the real test against Pittsburgh. If they can bounce back and beat the Steelers we’ll forget that the Ravens defense even existed. Kyle Orton, not so much.
