  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

I would think that unless there is something better out there you had better keep him.

I know he is a pain and is really working hard at being difficult. If he would put as

much effort into learning the playbook as he does pouting we would all be better off.

At least he can catch, if the can get the ball to him. KC 1st team receiver, the BOWE show

has a problem with dropping balls and is now running with the 2nd or 3rd team.

The chiefs have even brought former bronco leilie back to teach bowe how to catch.

    we shall see.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  2. Drew, I Agree with you in the point of “the good ole day” play ball and not bitch and moan but, I do not want to see the Broncos get rid of Brandon. If Cinci can deal with Ocho Cinco, I can see the Broncos front office dealing with Marshall. Something tells me that if we give #15 away that we will regret it. Talent, talent, talent. Make Brandon suffer, franchise tag and pay him (not overpay him) and all of this stuff will all blow over. When a child crys and crys dont beat him/her. Ignore the child and walk away!! The same point applys to the adult children of the world. Stop the attention to Brandon, we all are giving in to what he wants.

  3. Another great toon, Drew. 🙂

What’s done is done…but man, how I wish we would have selected Mark Sanchez and drafted Percy Harvin. Can you imagine?

Regarding your statement about the good old days…it’s hard to put into words but you are spot on. I have been meaning to write an article about it but every time I try it always come back to that sentiment: I miss the days when it was just about football.

I count myself lucky to be old enough to remember life before the internet, before NFL Sunday ticket and before twitter. The days when the draft was not televised – when you could park in north Denver and walk to Mile High and sit in the rowdy south stands. The days when you had to comb through the sports section for word of any news around the league, when you had to wait for the evening news to catch a highlight or an interview etc.

Yea, I miss those days too, Drew. I think we obsess entirely too much about things today. I think the entertainment value has over taken the heart of the sport. It’s hard to explain if you weren’t there in the old days and I hate to sound like an old man because I’m not but holy cow is the game different today. And that’s not to say that I don’t enjoy football or am not a die hard Bronco fan, it’s just a little more soulless these days.

I know Pat Bowlen didn’t transform the league to what it is today all by himself…but he certainly helped take the magic that existed at Mile High Stadium or decades and turned it into profits and drama.

    Long live the glory days.

  4. I think you should draw a picture of Marshall and Cutler in a crib with diapers and a baby bottle, they are both babies. They get paid millions of dollars to play a game. What are they complaining about? I got two words for Marshall and Cutler…..GROW UP!

  5. I agree with Matty G and I think I have said it before but we need B Marshall’s talent but we don’t need the attitude. Brandon makes Royal better as a football player (he makes Royal’s job easier.) I think Royal could handle being a number 1 receiver, he just makes a better Robin then he would a Batman. Also if we trade Marshall and Royal becomes our number 1, who becomes our number 2. Stokley and Gaffney are slot guys; they do well when the other team has to throw their nickel package on the field. I just wish Brandon would grow up and play.

Drew, I guess you are right. I wish it was just about playing football.
