Broncos Bruise Browns

Shannon’s Lasting Impression

Talk about your great moments in Broncos History. I don’t think any of us will ever forget Shannon Sharpe’s great leap of faith into the Ring of Fame with a parachute. It was Shannon at his best, always over the top always memorable. It set the stage for the whole day really, and this Broncos team is really starting to show some signs of coming together. My favorite part of the day….Brandon Marshall being benched in the 2nd quarter because, well, he was playing like he could care less. It was a statement that came through loud and clear. If guys like Elvis Dumervil can play their hearts out there is simply no room on the roster for those who don’t. In any case the Broncos are getting off to a good fast start, which is necessary, since the schedule gets tougher every week. Knowshon Moreno is about to break out as the Broncos big back and the deffense is laying like the Orange crush of old. Let me know what you think.

Who is emerging as your favorite Broncos player?

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

the bronco’s looked pretty good sunday. the browns are not the gold standard of the nfl but they are still a professional team and they are on the schedule. Maybe little Mickey D has a clue and is putting something together out there in denver.

Meanwhile in KC, its a work in progress. losing to the raiders. the raiders had a total of 167 yards in the game and russel had a qb rating of 47 and the chiefs still lost. Next week they go out to philadelphia to face the mcnabb less eagles. and the schedule gets tougher from there for kc.

congratulations on your teams win. Stokley is a real addition. and the real deal.If only marshall could/would learn from him about how to be a professional football player you might have something in him.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. Love the toon Drew!

I said it last week about Marshall…he should be benched…he should have to watch as other players emerge and show they WANT to not only

    play but WANT

  3. Stupid computer!!! (or could it be the user???) ha ha.. : )

    Anyways…to finish my opinion…

    Love the toon Drew!

I said it last week about Marshall… he could care less about playing.. he should be benched…he should have to watch as other players emerge and show they WANT to not only

play but WANT to win! Enough about Marshall..he does not even deserve

    this much attention!

Loved the way Shannon Sharpe entered the stadium!! Classic of

Sharpe and I would expect no less from him..He will always be one

    of my fav’s…

    Nice win yesterday!

Thanks again, Drew for the wonderful toons! Great way to start the day!

  4. Great toon, Drew!

The Browns game was good for morale and I think the Sharpe induction to the Ring was even better.

The Broncs are on top of the AFC West! Ha! Love it.

I am still not sold on Orton – I thought he played pretty bad yesterday. But like McDaniels said – he protected the ball and managed his way to a win. I’ll take it.

I see us going 3-0. After that is anyone’s guess…but there are A LOT of bright spots to be happy about thus far.

    Go Broncos!

  5. Woo! Nice cartoon, Shannon Sharp has been screwed by the establishment in Canton but us here in Denver know when to give a man his due. I say trade Marshall for $5 and a pack of gum. “I don’t know the playbook”!!! Really? Thats the best he could come up with.

  6. Derek to expand on that a little bit “I don’t know the playbook” He is getting paid how much to do his JOB! Bench him deactivate him cut his pay hit him where it hurts

  7. We all sit and hope that Marshall will get a clue. McD seems to be handling this one carefully. Remember, Marshall is a money guy when his head is in the game. Just to give him up or bench him is great payback for his antics, but unfortunately we are going to need him when the games actually start getting harder…as we all know they will!! In a perfect world we could say “get rid of him for anything of value”. But we would all change our tune the first time we have a receiver go down. Let’s hope McD can somehow instill in him the value of playing 100%. Too bad Rod Smith isn’t around any more. There was class!!!

Thanks for all your great cartoons Drew. They make my day in Phoenix….boy could you have a hayday here. Lots of material!!
