Sports in the Rockies: Full Tank
A Historic Weekend
From Ubaldo Jimenez to The Colorado Avalanche to Carmelo Anthony’s performance in round one of the NBA playoffs it was a Colorado weekend to remember. It feels a bit strange not being tethered these days to a daily local paper in Denver beyond the blog. Especially given this weekends incredible string of events. Doing the local Denver cartoons has always been my favorite part of drawing sports cartoons. It all makes me very thankful for each one of you who continue to give me your support by stopping by here in your travels through cyberspace. Soo…How-a-bout that Ubaldo!!

Good Morning from Omaha,
Wow, what a weekend you had in Colorado. the no hitter, the first ever, must have been spectacular to see.
the avs and the win over the sharks in overtime on a goal made by the other team against their own goalie. The nuggets are doing well in the playoff against Utah. You can certainly not call Denver a “loserville” like K.C.
You still have the draft. I read where there is a “chance” that the bronco’s could take tebow. How lucky it is to be you this time of year in denver.
I am jealous, NO. but it would sure be fun to have all this happen on my front porch.
Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

When it comes to April, May and June (hopefully), I’m very happy that my husband is a professional handler of the remote control. We love Colorado and its sports’ teams.
Wahoo! This is the kind of stuff that pulls my heart back home…….Great cartoon, of course.
I love, love, love doing the local cartoons. It’s so much fun to do stuff people resonate with so quickly. Just wish I could find a daily print edition to land in and find more ways to get people checking out the blog.
If you draw it, they will come. Well, it worked in the movie. And frankly, I don’t sound like James Earl Jones.
