He’s The New Kid on the block, and I think he’s here to stay. The PGA tour could use a little good news after the implosion of Tiger Woods. Rory McIlroy looks like the perfect answer to their problems. The TV ratings will soar through the roof with this guy. And he’s only just begun.

Good Morning from Omaha,
Lets be careful about putting kids on pedestals. Too many times we as a society do that and then watch as the tower crumbles and they come crashing back to earth. rory is very good. Very very very good. But I hear nails beng driven into 2×4’s and monuments being built. Lets keep in mind that he is only 22 and very human.
We forgot that human part with Tiger and others. When they came tumbling down we were sorely disappointed and time writing on blogs etc about role models and disappointments. Its was nice to see his dad out there in the gallery following Mcilroy around the course but go cautious into that dark night with the hero worship.
