Jerry Sandusky: Final Sentencing

There is, without a doubt, a special place in Hell for people like Jerry Sandusky. 30 years is nothing next to eternity.

  1. Good Morning from OMaha,

I have mixed emotions on this cartoon, Drew. While I heartily agree with the sentiment that it displays and believe that no amount of prison time is enough for what he did to and with those children the ultimate arbitrator has yet to speak.

The issue in my mind is that God is all about forgiveness. Even the worst of sinners, from what little I remember , if they ask for forgiveness will not be sent to hell.

The old testament God was a very vengeful and angry with man. sending adam and eve away. the locusts, the floods, the pillars of salt and the sending of jews to wander in the desert for years are just examples. He/she had a do as I say or else kind of way about themselves.

The new testament God has seemingly shown “growth” and is all about forgiveness for even the nastiest of sinners. It would seem that while Jerry is paying his price to man ultimately IF he has taken Jesus as his savior he too will make his way into heaven.

I am NOT preaching the gospel. My knowledge is sketchy at best about scriptures but I tend to pay attention to the message at church. Man has his price too pay but God is about forgiveness, yes, even for Jerry Sandusky.

If this reads like I am a little conflicted, I am. I guess the ultimate judge will have the final say.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. Dear Drew,

I remember a scene out of the movie “Little Nicky” (starring Adam Sandler) where we see Hitler being punished by Satan himself by having a pineapple shoved up his butt every day. Somehow your cartoon reminded me of that part and made me think that somehow THAT would be a fitting punishment for Sardusky in hell.

    Just a thought.

    All the best

  3. There can be no forgiveness for a person who cannot comprehend what they have done to others and their ability to function, who accept no responsiblity, who lie to themselves about what they have done and believe themselves. Who claim conspiracy, who are so selfcentered that they could conceive of that many people caring that they breathed, let alone wanting to dismantle their life.

  4. GMFO-

Sherri, i agree with you completely- this guy, i refuse to use his name, has never shown an iota of remorse for his actions.

and I trying to say unless he asks for forgiveness for his transgressions he is doomed to the lakes of fire.

just was trying to say, you know.

    Gene
