I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anything in sports quite as heartbreaking as the Derrick Rose injury that occurred late saturday afternoon in the Bulls first playoff game. I did one cartoon for the Chicago Tribune (below) on Saturday evening for their Sunday paper and one for Universal Press Syndicate (above). Comparative studies on the same topic. Which one do you like best?
Every once in awhile I deviate from my normal sports cartoon, throw a change up, and pitch one of these babies to ya! This one was done for The Guadalupe County Communicator to reflect their recent infestation of miller moths. Colorado has been swarmed with the little buggers as well so this was an appropriate cartoon for those of us who live in the Colorado area. Anyway, I’ll be back with some live cartoons later on this week. I am in the “crunch” mode for getting the house on the market. It looks like Tuesday! So please bare with me. I need to do a draft cartoon or two and some NBA playoff stuff as well. So hold tight and check back daily to see updates.
Thanks Drew
I’m not sure why the NBA decided to give Metta World Peace (Ron Artest) a break on his suspension (only 7 games). It’s beyond belief really. And yet, no matter how many times Ron Artest has disgraced the NBA (if that’s even possible anymore) they let him get away with it. Personally, it’s one of the many reason I find myself not watching much of the NBA anymore. Between behavior like this and the prima donnas dominating the league, there’s just not much there to cheer about.
