you just never know about those Colorado Rockies. Just when you think they are done they come fighting back to keep themselves alive. And you never know who it is that’s going to save their bacon night in and night out. Carlos Gonzales, Ubaldo Jimenez? This was one of my favorite cartoons that I have done for the Rockies Game Day Magazine. This one is from the August issue.

Athletes often believe they are above the law, above the people who pay tickets to see them. Egos are massive, often times they are pandered to at every juncture of their lives. Such is the case with Roger Clemens. Too many people have bowed to him, worshiped him and set him on a pedestal. Even his current counsel for this very serious indictment has led him to believe he is above the law. That he can say and do anything he wishes. It will be Clemens undoing. He is trapped now in a situation that I still don’t think he fully understands. He could do jail time. Serious jail time. And yet he denies and continue to deny any wrong doing. It’s hard to watch. And it draws a parallel to Custer’s tragic moment in history.

I couldn’t resist this fun poke at Brett Favre. It had to be done. As training camp opens I’ll be drawing you some updates from around the league. That’s always a lot of fun. From the mess in Cincinnati to the daily Tebow watch. Oh it’s good to be back at the drawing board.

Plop goes the Rockies. Just like that they find themselves down and out. What a difference a road trip makes. What exactly happens during the all-Star break I’ve no idea but needless to say this team just isn’t the same one before the break. Can they climb their way back? You tell me!
