Today’s View From the Bull Pen
St Patty's Day
To celebrate the return of Patrick Roy, I thought I'd post my three favorite and most requested Roy cartoons from my days at the Rocky Mountain News. I'm excited he's back and I know you guys are too. So here's to St Patty. I'll raise a pint o' Guinness to that!
Have a great a safe memorial day weekend! As always, your readership and your comments help to make the world go round, so please continue to add them. I will try to do a better job of responding.
There isn't a way to leave comments in the Bull Pen so please feel free to leave your comments under the latest cartoon that I post.

A Rose by any other name…

My most recent cartoon from the Chicago Tribune. The Bulls are close to finishing off their series with the Pacers. I’m thinking if Derrick Rose is healthy the Bulls are a contender to win it all.

Big Bird in Chicago

Bulls: Barrel of Fun

My latest cartoon from the Chicago Tribune.
A Big Congrats goes out to Mike Keefe, editorial cartoonist for the Denver Post who won the Pulitzer prize yesterday for his work in 2010. Mike was always a guy I looked up to and he influenced my work in my early years. I never got to know him as much as I would have liked. But I can tell you there is no one in editorial cartooning who deserves the honor more than Mike Keefe. You can see some of his cartoons on Cagle.com

Rough starts

A Look at the Final Four

Crummy. The Rockies let the Opener slip away. It’s only one game but it does kind of dampen the spirits a bit. So, to lighten things up …I couldn’t resist sharing this cartoon I just did for Saturday’s Chicago Tribune. It kind of sums up the whole weekend, don’t ya think? Besides, it’s not often I get to draw Underdog AND Mighty Mouse in the same cartoon. I’ll be drawing for ESPN.com for Sunday and Monday night. So come back now ya hear!
Have a great weekend and enjoy some sunshine! You all Rock! And the Rockies will too. -
March Madness is Alive!

Thanks to everyone for helping the C.U. cartoon to go “viral”. It has been getting huge response, so much so that I left it up all day.
Great comments the last few days. forgive me for not getting to them. I have had my nose buried in income taxes. Yech. I’ll still try to get to your comments when I can. I want to answer all of them but it sometimes is a bit crazy juggling so many different deadlines. Your comments are always so awesome. I hope there are times you won’t mind if my schedule gets crazy and I sit back and just take them all in. Like a great sports talk show.
