Today's cartoon from the Chicago Tribune

Let’s face it, it wasn’t exactly a banner year in college football around the state of Colorado. CU and CSU suffered through some pretty rough seasons. Sure, Air Force squeaked into a bowl game and CSU-Pueblo played for the Div II national title (Playoffs? Now there’s a concept) but overall it was a bad year for the Buffs and Rams. For CSU it cost them a head coach. So here’s this months cartoon I drew for Mile High Sports magazine which is available now throughout the Denver area. Ho, ho, ho.

Calendars started shipping yesterday. Be sure to order yours now so they have plenty of time to get to you!

It doesn’t work. It never will. One word. Playoffs.

Today's cartoon Drawn for 9News KUSA Denver

Tebow time also means Kool Aid time. Clearly it’s time for even the harshest of Tebow critics to take a drink from the Winning Well. Somehow, someway he manages to get the win. All at the expense of the central nervous system of every Broncos fan on the planet. Week in and week out we hang on the edge of our seats just to see what Tebow has up his sleeve this time. And don’t we know better by now. It’s another win.

The Calendars are in! And they look great. They make great stocking stuffers. And now they are ready to ship! So click the link on the right sidebar and shop away.

Today's cartoon was drawn for the Chicago Tribune

I had a blast on my latest cartoon for the Tribune. I like the perspective on this one with the Packers race car closer to the camera so to speak. And I finally got the tires to look right a well thanks to Ed “Big Daddy” Roth and all those years of seeing his Rat Fink art.

Calendars are in the studio and start shipping on Monday. They look great. More sneak peeks coming. Trying to get some signings set up around Denver. Please order sooner rather than later because supplies are limited.

Today’s View From the Bull Pen

The odds aren't good. Simply put waiting for an NBA player to make a free throw is a bit like waiting for the Cubs to win the World Series. It just ain't gonna happen. At least in our lifetimes. It reminds me of one of my favorite stories. Legendary basketball coach Don Haskins, all 250 plus pounds of him, had a player who apparently thought a bit highly of himself and didn't find his deficiency at the free throw line to be that big of a deal. Haskins challenged him to a free throw contest and let the kid go first. The kid hit a couple out of 10 or so and proudly handed old man Haskins the ball. After the coach hit his 100th in a row without a miss the kid learned his lesson. Don't argue with the Bear. And learn to shoot free throws.

There isn't a way to leave comments in the Bull Pen (that I've found yet) so please feel free to leave your comments under the latest cartoon that I post.
