A Great Ride But…
Doesn’t it kind of leave us all hanging upside down a bit. Waiting for something more that didn’t quite get there. But that said, wasn’t it just a blast to have the Rockies back in the playoffs!! Rocktober Rules!
Now, how about them Broncos!

    Good Morning from Omaha,

wow, what season. 12 games under at one point. fire the coach and then make the playoffs. Lose to the returning world series champion. there are 26 other teams in MLB that wish they could have that chance.
Enjoy the possibilities of the off season and like the cubs used to say “theres always next year”.
you still have the av, the bronco’s and the nuggets. all we have to look forward to here is ice cold and snow, and the huskers football season.
Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.
    Gene

A ride is what we need to stop providing the fans, a first class trip on the Concord is what the fans deserve. The Yankees dont put do that kind of stuff the Rockies pull going down to the last inning to try and get a run just to tie! The Angels didnt putty around with the Red Sox they got business done and got the hell off the field to rest. Im know I am Buzz Killington this morning but, c’mon now we are patting them on the back just to lose in the post season! I am not heartbroken Im mad as hell that we let Street perform the last inning. He was not the same pitcher after the injury in September. He lost his edge and everyone knew it, especially Tracy!!!! The same crap happend to him in Oakland when he gave up other post game runs, it was like deja-vu all over for him!! Thats why the A’s were happy to get rid of him! Bentancourt is just as responsible too!! These two “American League” pitchers were supposed to get us past the playoffs not stuck in the postseason. A Few calls made the Rockies way might have went their way but they lost that game all by themselfs yesterday. If only the Moffart’s decide to spend some of that money they make they can get a great pitcher like the Yankees and the Red Sox have. Home grown talent and has been pitchers are the stuff that is gonna shut the lights off in Coors Field eventually, championships are what keeps the team going. Just ask the Expo’s and other teams that are fighting to survive because of homegrown talent! I am disgusted! Hope this makes it to the front office of the Rockies, oh thats right they dont care what the fans think. They are getting rich off of us while we get suckered to watching Cinderella teams hoping to strike it rich with just a GED insted of a college education. BLAH! SICK OF IT!!!

Ooh, a Van Gogh reference in that moon, Drew. Love it.

Today’s View From the Bull Pen

The odds aren't good. Simply put waiting for an NBA player to make a free throw is a bit like waiting for the Cubs to win the World Series. It just ain't gonna happen. At least in our lifetimes. It reminds me of one of my favorite stories. Legendary basketball coach Don Haskins, all 250 plus pounds of him, had a player who apparently thought a bit highly of himself and didn't find his deficiency at the free throw line to be that big of a deal. Haskins challenged him to a free throw contest and let the kid go first. The kid hit a couple out of 10 or so and proudly handed old man Haskins the ball. After the coach hit his 100th in a row without a miss the kid learned his lesson. Don't argue with the Bear. And learn to shoot free throws.

There isn't a way to leave comments in the Bull Pen (that I've found yet) so please feel free to leave your comments under the latest cartoon that I post.
