Billups

Easily one of my favorite athletes to play in Denver ever. And here’s one of my very favorite cartoons about him. It was a long day. I was scheduled for a root canal late this afternoon and it turned out it wasn’t so late. I missed the appointment. The Tribune called and need a cartoon for tomorrow (yeah, they’re using me more) and I thought we all needed a Chauncy break. Teh Tribune one will probably be my cartoon for Wednesday morning.

    Good Morning from Omaha,
sorry about the dental work. MY wife has had a couple of root canal but they gassed her and she had no problem with anything after the gas.
I seemed the nuggets rode billups to the playoff last year. The birdman played over his head and the Nuggets did very well.
I read where woody the p. is all hopped up on a trade to get camby back.
You would think that bringing Marcus back would upset whatever chemistry the Nuggs have developed over the season.
I know he has been with Denver before but there must have been a reason they traded him away.
Good luck at the dentist. They have a nasty job, sticking there hands in other peoples mouths, yuck.
Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

Today’s View From the Bull Pen

The odds aren't good. Simply put waiting for an NBA player to make a free throw is a bit like waiting for the Cubs to win the World Series. It just ain't gonna happen. At least in our lifetimes. It reminds me of one of my favorite stories. Legendary basketball coach Don Haskins, all 250 plus pounds of him, had a player who apparently thought a bit highly of himself and didn't find his deficiency at the free throw line to be that big of a deal. Haskins challenged him to a free throw contest and let the kid go first. The kid hit a couple out of 10 or so and proudly handed old man Haskins the ball. After the coach hit his 100th in a row without a miss the kid learned his lesson. Don't argue with the Bear. And learn to shoot free throws.

There isn't a way to leave comments in the Bull Pen (that I've found yet) so please feel free to leave your comments under the latest cartoon that I post.
