It won’t be long before many of us hold our fantasy football drafts. I often wonder why I bother to draft. It always seems to turn out the same way. So this cartoon came to me as a reminder. Fantasy football is big business. No wonder when they can manage to entice guys like me for another year of futile frustration. Fun. But futile.

    Good Morning from Omaha,
great cartoon drew. I have never played fantasy football. Our son, on the other hand is very good at the “sport”
I just don’t know enough to be able to pick the right players or have an success. If that were the standard I would never set foot on another golf course.
Its all in fun and and camaraderie. So enjoy your time away from the drawing board. Kick back and relax and roll with it.
Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

Oh, we draft because every now and then even a blind squirrel finds a nut. You never know when it will be your turn.

  3. Sherri says:

Maybe you guys should just base this all on the color of the uniforms, if the mascot is cute, or if a player is cute……..

    Dear Mr. Litton,

That cartoon brought back memories of the times I use to play fantasy football. That first year I was told “Even an idiot could win all this”. Boy did I prove them wrong.

I had the #1 overall draft pick in the draft. 1st game of the season out for the season with an injury. Ditto my #2 (picked at the end of the 2nd round. From there things got worse. Seemed like the only person who stayed healthy for me that year was Rich Karlis. Of course the biggest blunder (among many) was with the 14th round pick I chose William “The Refridgerator” Perry as a running back (the previous year he had scored a few times against the Packers)

Of course that year I won a total of 3 games. Things didn’t get much better after that. I played a total of 10 seasons. Had exactly 1 winning season though that year I did win the league title. Otherwise that T-shirt “No chance” would describe me all too well.

Still it was a funny cartoon. Brought back a few memories and gave me a good laugh. Thanks Mr. Litton.

    All the best

    Louis

The World is in Chaos, The Economy is in the Dumpster...And Peyton Manning throws a Pass. Nice to know we have it all in perspective.
