It really is amazing what we sports fans will go completely bonkers over. This is the latest story that makes me want to find a few thousand of my closest friends and actually throw confetti in the air with wild reckless abandon. Yes. I’m that excited about the possibility.

    I couldn’t agree more Drew!
Where did you see this? I’m not locating anything on the four letter network’s website.

Now if we could just get the NBA and NHL to do away with their all star games.

The Pro Bowl was hated by coaches and players, and ignored by fans. Good riddance.

The NHL and NBA ASGs are fun and popular with the fan bases, although I prefer the NHL skills contest more than the game.

I do like the MLS All-Star concept – our league’s best against a European power like Chelsea or Manchester United – but it is a bit of a distraction in the middle of the season, while the European teams use it as a preseason tuneup and money maker.

I’m don’t like baseball, but baseball fans worship tradition, so I’d keep the midsummer classic.

    Good Morning from Omaha,
Canceling the NFL Pro Bowl is something that has long been coming. The players make too much money to really try and play hard for fear of injury. It has turned into an overblown flag foot ball game played by a bunch of pampered divas. No one , unless they are seriously addicted to football, takes the time to watch the game because the average fan tends to not waste the time it take to watch. If the network did not hype the game in an attempt to get people to watch almost everyone would be out doing something , anything, or at least I would hope. So bury the Pro bowl game in onto annals of history, and then bury the shovel used to bury it.
Yesterday I got to sip water for the first time and then swallow it. SLOWLY and it may take 2-3 attempts to swallow that wonderful sustainer of life. Miracles are truly happening everyday, not only around me, but each and everyone of you. The simple act of taking a sip of water which we take for granted everyday has become an act of such beauty it is hard to imagine not living without the ability to live without it.
My wife had to leave the room so I would not see her tears. Thank you all for prayers and love not only through the Drew web site but from facebook as well. I don’t think I will ever be able to express my thankfulness for your continued support and prayers.
Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

Today’s View From the Bull Pen

The World is in Chaos, The Economy is in the Dumpster...And Peyton Manning throws a Pass. Nice to know we have it all in perspective.

There isn't a way to leave comments in the Bull Pen (that I've found yet) so please feel free to leave your comments under the latest cartoon that I post.
