Today’s View From the Bull Pen
Putin and His Preciousssss
Some days you just have to go with silly. Really silly. Of course, the whole story of Vladimir Putin stealing Robert Kraft's Super Bowl Ring is pretty silly. And, I might add, a bit bizarre. This along with the recent news about Putin's divorce and supposed affair with a 20 something is clear evidence that somebody named Vladimir is having a mid-life crisis. As always, your readership and your comments help to make the world go round, so please continue to add them. I will try to do a better job of responding.
There isn't a way to leave comments in the Bull Pen so please feel free to leave your comments under the latest cartoon that I post.

“When you have once seen the glow of happiness on the face of a beloved person, you know that a man can have no vocation but to awaken that light on the faces surrounding him; and you are torn by the thought of the unhappiness and night you cast, by the mere fact of living, in the hearts you encounter.”- Albert CamusTwitter Goodies

Good Morning from Omaha,
This is a great cartoon and catches the true victim of this horrible incident. While he was a “star” in the NFL no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. The money and the fame does not guarantee happiness, despite rumors to the contrary.
Now they are trying to tie the players suicide to possible brain damage from concussions due to football. While this may have played a small part in the end of his life- he probably had a controlling personality and reached the breaking point with his girlfriend, snapped, and killed her. He realized his misstep, and then took his own life.
Gun or not if he wanted to make a point with his intended if he had a gun, ball bat, belt, knife or he used his hands, she would still be dead.
That leaves the little girl, who is now faced with a life without her parents. She is truly the victim of this whole mess.
Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

Terrific comment, as always Gene!!!
So poignant, Drew. So succinct, Gene. I wish he would have just thought, just one second, thought about how this little girl will think about her dad and the shame or guilt she may feel, what impact that split second event would have on an innocent life.
