Had this happened before the Walt Wiess hiring I would have been nervous as heck. After all there have been too many instances in the past in all sports where a former star player came back to coach and fell on his face. However since Wiess has been doing so well with the Rockies perhaps Roy and Sakic can do the same for the Av’s

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Hearing that Patrick Roy is returning to the Avs was worth a “Woohoo!”

I think it’s great! Not sure about the juniors to NHL and how that will translate for winning Stanley Cups, but love having he and Sakic there leading the team. Hope he gets butts in the arena and banners to be hung from the ceiling.

I was at a Rockies baseball game the other day, telling someone the same thing. Why bother play the NBA playoffs, just crown the Heat and be done with it. I will be so glad if the Heat lose!
