   It is great that Danica gets the pole position for the great american race, but just because she starts first probably does not mean much except that on an empty track she drove faster that anyone else.

   When you add in the other 33 or so cars, as traffic, then we shall see. I am in her corner but as in so many cases in life its not so much where you start but where you finish.

5. Finally figured out how to leave comments. Some of these comments sound to me like they have a “women don’t belong on the track” slant to them. Why do I feel like she is not getting the same credit one of the men drivers would have gotten? Everyone knows she has to proof herself in the race, and isn’t it the case the pole doesnt really mean anything to whomever gets it? It’s just a cool thing to acheive?
