   there is a lot than can be said about the events in Paris, but once again, Drew, you have proven the old axiom that “brevity is the soul of wit”.

   yes that is shakespeare and yes Hamlet is the play . while I am not calling you shakespeare, your ability to get to the heart of the matter so quickly is to be admired.

3. This hits home for me a bit, since I just launched my own satire site for OKC news last summer. I doubt we have any ISIS or Daesh cells active in these parts, but I have ruffled a few feathers already – will there be a day where someone here gets so upset at a joke I make that they shoot me over it? We make light of the passion of college football fans and political partisans (two of my more frequent targets), but we also know the tragic anecdotes of those feelings carried too far.

   However, it’s those very people who would take it too far who must be confronted with laughter and exposure. The great Oklahoman folk singer Woody Guthrie had a label on his guitar that read “This Machine Kills Fascists,” and satire also is a weapon against the villains of the world.

   One of the most poignant cartoons about yesterday I have seen.

   I am proud that Denver is the home of one of the best of our countries few remaining satirical cartoonists.
