   Thank you, Drew. It was a fun night!

   what is it with sportwriters being negative. the chiefs won and the jist of the articles in the kc web site was the chiefs were better swimmers( in the rain), the chiefs were lucky, the chiefs couldn’t put together a drive!

   Some of that may be true, but give people a chance to relish the win. They will not win them all this year but you can see the pieces coming together. this was the first time since ’05 that the chiefs won their season opener. Let the coaches work on the problems, as fans we should take the W and go home.

   It will be a fun season with the new guys and the enthusiasm that they bring to the crowd. I thought I saw the new and improved Arrowhead rocking just like in the days of old.

   Strive for excellence, nothing but your best!

   Kansas City 1-0

   The Rest 0-1

5. I went to bed last night sure that I would wake up to find San Diego alone on the top of the AFC West. While I can’t bring myself to overtly root for the Chiefs (I am a Broncos fan, after all), I was pleased to find that KC won the game. I’d like to see the Chargers sit out the post-season for once.And after Sunday’s performance, it looks like that won’t be Denver. So it might as well be the Chiefs.

6. It is also sooooo beautiful that SD racked up all those yards, but couldn’t score…….Phillip Rivers is the biggest punk in the league, glad to hear he was pouting……..FOOTBALLL!!!!!! It just doesn’t get better than opening weekend. Once again, great cartoon!

   Great ‘toon. Just wish it could be the horse leaving his prints on Rivers’ rump, but this is a far better toon.

   @Gene: Congrats to your team for doing what has been needed doing for a very, very long time. Hope you can con Drew out of the original 🙂
