The Broncos Fan Christmas wish list

Uncategorized

I always try to draw cartoons that we all can relate to. This is a good example. So many of us in Denver are suffering through the worst Broncos season in decades. Throw the Spy Gate controversy in along with the Elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about (Mr. Bowlen’s presence or lack thereof as of late) and it’s not been a fun season thus far.

You all are so awesome! You had some fantastic comments on yesterdays cartoon. Forgive me for not jumping into the fray. I was feeling a bit under the weather. The schedule I’ve been keeping to churn out the ESPN animations every week and do my other work I think finally caught up with me. Nothing that a winter of sleep wouldn’t cure. Have a Great Day!

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

Wow- Denver is about to Omaha itself over Mickey D’s lack of coaching ability. I mean by Omaha as in talk itself to death over something. Its not like Denver doesn’t have other diversions like the Rockies, Nuggets,

Av’s – heck you guys even have a soccer team that is playing really well.

Yes, its football season and last year in KC and the years under Herm, the city badmouthed everything the coaches did and thought about doing. The team would trade for someone and the next thought would be “oh well, he’ll probably get hurt and never amount to anything”.

I guess the results on the field or at least signs of improvement under haley changed the mindset of most fans.

Josh hasn’t provided the average bronco fan with any sign of hope. Yes the defense on the bronco’s is bad the offense is throwing because they can’t run the ball and they lack a big play receiver- hmmmm, Its going to take some time and better drafts than what they have had in the last year or so.

Its almost as if everyone who is a bronco fan is going through the stages of grief with this team- some are in denial, some are angry and some are just resigned to the fact that the Bronco’s are dead this year and have moved on to the slopes and other things to occupy their minds.

Its going to take sometime for the bronco;s to work through this but as of now thats all the bronco’s have is time.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. Dear Mr. Litton,

The only thing I can add about the cartoon is that the Bronco’s have been so bad this year that even the “Jolly Ol’ Elf” himself doesn’t look too happy.

I hope you get over your bug soon. Bummer to be ill

    All the best

    Louis

  3. I wish I knew what a fair amount of time is needed to build a team in the manner that a coach wants it. How long are fans to be patient? Josh sure seems to have made a mess of things, a coach needs to be confident, but there is room for humble in there. ie Tony Dungy. Hey, maybe he wants to come coach Tim……

Another question. If Bowlen is not in good health, who is in line to run the team? His wife?

  4. I gave up on the Bronco season after we were blown out by Oakland. Did see a good sign of hope that Bowlen will make a decision on McDaniels in the off season. As far as I am concerned football season is already over in Denver and he can make a decision now.

  5. Drew,

Hope you are feeling better soon.

The way the season on-and-off the filed has gone, it appears the size of lump of coal coming to Josh’s stocking is going to result serious heating and electric issues through-out the midwest.

    Mike
