Super Bowl Week

Here’s another cartoon that kind of sums up the way I feel about the Super Bowl. It’s bittersweet. Just knowing that when the game is over, so is the season. I’ve always tried to convince my wife to let me keep the Christmas lights and tree up until after the Super Bowl. Tis the season ya know. But then I would have two things end at the same time so it’s probably better to go ahead and put one away before the other.

The metaphor of the roller coaster is one of the most used in all of cartooning ( next to the guy on the desert island.) I’d never done one though with the thing just ending in mid air. I kind of like that. It’s certainly the way I feel after the game is over. Be sure to check back on Thursday for our Super Bowl poll and another cartoon.

  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

What roller coaster? the chiefs season was like a kiddie ride you would see at the Cainsville picnic.

One of those that looks like a green dragon with 6 cars. It goes around in 20 foot circles with little bumps and ups and downs and shakes so much it could be used at Lowes to mix paint.

The whole Chiefs season was, as they say, a “process.”

My criminal law teacher calls learning the law a process and he wants to see the progress in our thinking when we write our essays.

Now the chiefs have brought in Weiss and Romeo Crennel to coordinate both sides of the ball.

We shall see if moving what worked 7 years ago with Romeo and Charlie under the guidance of Belichek will work now. I’ll bet that the copy cat nature of the NFL has allowed the league to evolve past these gentlemen in their prime.

Cleveland isn’t crying over Romeo’s departure and the home of touchdown Jesus is never satisfied no matter who is the coach.

and now everything is “up to date in Kansas City” if its 2004.

Yes the NFL will come crashing down after Sunday and we will all have to go cold turkey. Give me two slices of bread, a slice of cheese and my wifes HGTV and my grades will improve, dramatically.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best

    Gene

  2. I am going nuts, I can’t get the cartoon. Guess I will have to try from a different computer sometime today……..Can’t concentrate, can’t think…….can’t function……..

  3. Yea! All’s right with the world! I can see the cartoon. This one really captures the feeling of a week from Sunday. Fortunately it’s Valentine’s Day and there will be chocolate!
