  1. Drew,

Your cartoon is spot on. I love it!

The Tide came in wave after wave, over the Irish, last night. So much so, that I thought the Irish were going to drown! Thank goodness they scored some points to show that they can play some football. Not to take anything away from the incredible season the Irish had this year – however, I think the teams were so mismatched. Did both teams deserve to play in a championship game? Absolutely. I’m thinking in different divisions, conferences, or however the teams are divided up these days (I lost track. lol).

Here’s to next year! GO IRISH!!!!

  2. Good Morning from Omaha,

the tide had 28 points before ND has its second first down. That says a lot about the game. Even with scholarship limits and the perception of parity through out the world of big time college football Alabama and the SEC seem to have the edge.

ND was not ready for the speed and quickness that the tide brings to the game. It is hard to get the scout team to simulate what you are going to see. Yes they can run the plays but if the players on the scout team were that good, they would be playing every saturday.

I just wonder how many players from alabama actually get a degree in the 5 year period that comes with the scholarship. I know its a year to year agreement between the school and the player. the coach has the final say and NO I am not crying croc tears for the players, but I wonder just what happens to those guys , from any team, who are considered cast offs after blowing up a knee or falling behind in class.

Just like me to consider the negative side of college football. “The world is still the same you’ll never change it”

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene
