  1. Good Morning from Omaha,

First thank you drew, for giving the chiefs their due. after the past several seasons of Herm Edwards, Todd Haley and the Romeo Crennel the chiefs fans are in deep need of some good news. 2013 and a real coach and some real coaches and real players.

I am not a bandwagon jumper- I have been a chiefs fan, er loser, since 1967. I still remember when we lived up in Rapid City SD. It was during the first super bowl- the chiefs against the packers- and we really did have to let the tv warm up.

The kids in the neighborhood went out to play football in their backyard and had to shovel the snow off the yard before we could play. No the chiefs did not play so well during that game.

Earlier that year my dad packed my brother and me into our 63 Volkswagon and we drove to KC to watch the Chiefs play the chargers in old Municipal stadium. It was chilly and the air cooled engine still has not warmed up to this day.

I was born in CA so I choose to root for the chargers, my brother was born in KC so he took the chiefs. That night the chiefs won.

ONce again thank you drew. I have shared your ‘toon on my facebook page.

as always, strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

  2. Gene,

Congratulations on your Chiefs! They are looking like the real thing this year. Here is hoping they finish 14 and 2. Oh what the heck, give em 16-0 and the Donkos 13-3. Good luck to both teams in their upcoming games.

    Mike

  3. GMFO-

thank you mike- some people seem to forget that both teams are getting paid. Yes, the jags are stealing from their owner but everyone else is working their tails off for there money.

This Chiefs resurgence should last a bit longer. We saw them play the browns a few years ago and the chiefs made a never heard of before or since running back for the browns look like eric dickerson. It can happen again and it will. they have a charles dickens of a time winning in Buffalo and last year they made Fitzpatrick look all world. we shall see, but until then you have to enjoy the ride.

Strive for excellence, nothing but your best.

    Gene

  4. Never would I have suspected that Andy Reid and Alex Smith would have been the ones to lead us here.

    Come on KC!
