Basebrawl
This recent surge of on the field fighting in baseball reminds me of a conversation I was a part of several years ago with a baseball executive at spring training. He asked several of us at lunch did we think that fighting could increase attendance. We laughed at first until we realized he was serious. “It works for hockey” he explained.

Big Papi Is in Big Trouble
Hard to fathom all of the stories out of Boston these days. Let’s just say this… They seem to be having a lot more than just Tea Parties.
Great Caption Response
Keep up the great entries for the caption contest. We might shatter the record for most entries and that would be way cool. Also, if you haven’t received your prizes yet I’m sorry. I’ve been away the last two weeks and will do the rest of the mailings today.

The War of the Public Enemies
I’m a huge Johnny Depp fan and can’t wait to see his newest movie “Public Enemies”. I was, of course, particularly fond of the films title because it plays right into baseball’s ugliest family feud, the Yankees vs. the Red Sox. So here’s a cartoon that goes out to the boys of summer.
Don’t forget our caption contest for the week which is winding down. Get those last minute entries in pronto.
