It’s tough being a fan from Chicago right now. Just when you get through a long grueling winter, think you have a spring full of Bulls and Blackhawks playoff games ahead you to wake up to no playoffs and to the reality that it’s going to be a long grueling summer with the Cubbies and White Sox.

One of the biggest reasons I started this blog was to have a chance to connect with as many of the people who read my cartoons as possible. I want to know as many of you as I can through the comments you leave, as well as my replies back. That said, I’m so sorry I haven’t been as “talkative” in the comments section lately as I would like to be. I apologize. I think my batteries just got rundown a little. I’ll try to be better about commenting more to each of you who stop by. There are quite a few of you who are regulars in the comments section and as the song goes I want this to be a place “where everyone knows your name and we’re always glad you came”. Especially me. Things are a little crazy in Chicago these days. The White Sox are Hot and the Cubbies are most definitely not. Know what else is hot (besides the weather)? Super Exciting Stuff on Tuesday. It’s an App-ening so stay tooned! Yep, that’s right a Drew App is on the way! So by all means be here Tuesday. And bring a few of your closest friends with you.

A hearty welcome to all of you fans from Chicago and beyond. Come right in, grab yourself a cold one, some chicken wings or a brat, get comfy and feel free to look around. There aren’t a lot of Chicago toons yet. Just some really nasty ones about Jay Cutler, which you might actually like. But there will be more to come. There are tons of cartoons about the Broncos, and the Avalanche and all things Colorado since that’s where I spent some 26 years as a sports cartoonist for the Rocky Mountain News lampooning mostly local teams 5 times-a-week. There’s also a mixture of national sports cartoons which helps keep my syndicate, United Features, happy two days a week. For all of the regulars here things will stay pretty much the same. We’re all kind of like a family, or for you guys in Chicago, kind of like and afternoon at Murphy’s. So sit back, relax and enjoy some toons.
