Brandon Marshall reported to camp yesterday. Why? His contract said he had to. The quicker the Broncos can rid themselves of this overpaid skunk the better. He’s become nothing but poison on and off the field. Do you agree or disagree?

I have just re-entered the earth’s atmosphere after attending the San Diego Comic -Con. It was exhausting, (average mileage covered through 4 days of walking the convention center floor=19 miles) but an absolute blast and very productive for me. I’ll be getting the winner of the Cartoon Caption Contest up later today and be back on production schedule sometime tomorrow, including new Broncos cartoons.

I’m stunned and very saddened by the tragic news about Steve McNair who was shot to death on Saturday in Nashville. I always thought McNair was one of those who played the game with his whole heart. He always gave it everything and often played hurt. He was what you hope every NFL player should be. A teammate, a warrior, and a shining example of achievement. He will be missed.

Another tainted talent
I miss those days when a guy put on a uniform and did everything they could to help their team win. Call me old fashioned, but there is something incredible about watching, say, the movie “Miracle”, a story based on the 1980 USA Hockey team putting their differences aside to upset the Soviets and win a gold medal. Even watching LeBron James on 60 minutes last night, reminded me of the selfish exploits of Brandon Marshall. LeBron said his whole focus is about team. Making everyone around him better and striving for the one goal he wants most, an NBA title. I only wish Brandon Marshall was more like that.
