So much for the “BIG” match-up of Aaron Rodgers vs. Drew Brees. The NFL is crazy that way. You can never count on anything to happen the way you think it will. That said, after seeing this weekends games I feel like no one will be able to beat the Patriots. Their tandem of tight ends is unreal. If the NFL is looking to outlaw something next year they can start with Rob Gronkowski. I’ve never seen a tight end that has the intangibles that he has. The guy should be illegal.

So the Broncos are done for this year, but there are tons of questions that need answers going forward. But there is a lot of time to deal with those. I personally just want to reminisce over the great season it has been. The NFL network had a terrific Tebow-in-review piece that played over the weekend. Great stuff if you can catch it playing again.

I want to thank everyone who offered some feedback on the site. So you can see I made yet another change here, bringing back the scrolling through cartoons from top to bottom and obviously a color change. Sometimes I just need to mix it up a bit. If you like it let me know. If not please do the same. There’s a pretty good chance I will add a permanent slider at the top of the blog so you can scroll through 10 or 12 of the most recent cartoons. But I need to play with that a bit first before I add it. Thanks again for your input.

It’s all a matter of Faith. Believing you can when so many tell you that you can’t. For Tebow it’s a matter of personal faith. Tim and I share the same beliefs, though I must admit, after the loss of my first wife from cancer in 2004, my faith has been tested and tried and many times has wavered. But I’ve learned a few things from Tebow this year. That it’s time to believe again that life can indeed be good after heartache and hardship. That things have a way of working out. That overcoming impossible odds isn’t really impossible.
It’s what I find most intriguing about sports. I have a friend who asks me often why people love sports so much. I tell her it’s all about the human will to be excellent. The will to win and overcome defeat and adversity. It’s about the Miracle On Ice. It’s about movies like “Hoosiers” and “Glory Road”. It’s about driving 98 yards with time running out in Cleveland. Or throwing a pass on the first play of overtime to beat a 12-4 team in a game that no one in their right mind gave you the chance to win. And sometimes, most of the time, all of that takes faith to achieve. So I hope you all take this cartoon in the light it was intended. Because, It’s all a matter of Faith.

today's cartoon is brought to you by the letters ESPN

Alabama turned in one of the most dominate games on the defensive side of the ball in the history of college football last night beating the LSU Tigers 21-0. LSU never advanced the ball beyond the 50 yard line all night long. So much for 13-0. Congrats to the Crimson Tide and to my pal, Kyle Banister, the only Alabama fan I know, who I’m sure was hoping for a cartoon of me eating crow (I was rooting for LSU).
Thanks for the huge numbers we got on Sunday nights cartoon for 9News (A Wing and A prayer) We set a DrewLitton.com record for the number of page views. It’s all because of you and your desire to share my content on the web that makes it happen! I appreciate it!
I was also interviewed by 9News and you can watch it at www.9News.com. I’ll try to embed the video later (we had some problems doing so earlier)

It is a Broncos victory for the ages. One we will remember just as much as “The Drive”, as much as “The Fumble” and as much “The Helicopter”. Some will call it “The Pass”. I will refer to it simply as “On A Wing and A Prayer”. Tebow to Demaryius Thomas= TD. The nights passing yards =Tebow: 316. This has been, I think, the most memorable season in Broncos history. Yeah, I know, beating the Packers in the Super Bowl was pretty sweet. Yeah, so was beating the Falcons for the second Lombardi trophy. But, seriously, name another season that has been more fun? 77? Maybe. But this one has been so unexpected…Let me know what you think!

Today's cartoon is from the November issue of Mile High Sports Magazine

I’ve held off drawing about the start of the NBA season. Maybe out of protest. Maybe out of spite. Maybe because I’m not really sure how YOU feel about it. Anyway, here’s a piece I did for the November issue of Mile High Sports magazine. This was back before we even knew the NBA would have a season. With all of the Tebowmania, the Broncos run to the playoffs and trying to sell calendars going on I just couldn’t find a good time to post it. Until now. Hope ya like it.

Today’s View From the Bull Pen

The World is in Chaos, The Economy is in the Dumpster...And Peyton Manning throws a Pass. Nice to know we have it all in perspective.

There isn't a way to leave comments in the Bull Pen (that I've found yet) so please feel free to leave your comments under the latest cartoon that I post.
