Today’s cartoon was drawn for 9News Denver.

It’s Time. It’s waaay past time! Time to hand the keys to the kid and see what he can do. Tebow excites this Broncos team like no other player on the roster. The defense has leaders. The offense needs one. Orton isn’t it. Tebow is. Sure, he doesn’t throw as nice a pass. Sure he lacks accuracy at times. But he brings something the Broncos need badly. A spark. A reason to believe. A reason to sit on the edge of your seat every time Tebow has the ball because you never know what he is going to do. The Broncos need that. the fans REALLY need that. It’s Tebow Time!

Today’s cartoon is from this months issue of Mile High Sports magazine…
You want a quarterback controversy, you got a quarterback controversy. Kyle Orton’s performance on Monday Nights loss to the Raiders, brought out the boo birds. For good reason. Orton was 1 for 4 in the red zone and his fourth quarter fumble really cost the Broncos a chance to win. And winning is what it’s all about. It’s the reason why for me, I for one, would rather see Tebow, Quinn, even Adam Weber, a free agent QB the Broncos released just before the season, than to see one more game with Kyle Orton under center for the Broncos. Orton has never cared about winning. Never has, never will. The Broncos need a leader on the offensive side of the ball. Orton is not that leader. Let the controversy begin.

PLEASE NOTE: THESE IMAGES ARE NOT CLICKABLE 2009: Unforgettable For me, 2009 will always be remembered as the year a great newspaper died. The Rocky Mountain News had been a part of the Colorado landscape for 150 years until it's closing in February. It set my life and career onto a new path, drawing cartoons for this blog and for places like 9News, the Chicago Tribune, United Media syndicate and The great Guadalupe County Communicator in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. I hope you enjoy this year in review piece I put together. It will be featured in the January issue of Mile High Sports Magazine on news stands next week. I'll have a new cartoon on Saturday.
