Today’s View From the Bull Pen
Idiots Among Us
The latest Bozo Award in the world of sports belongs to Sergio Garcia. The tiff between him and Tiger Woods is legendary and has escalated in recent weeks. But the recent statement by Garcia about Tiger Woods coming over to his house for dinner with fried chicken on the menu is beyond belief. It proves once again that even though golf is a cerebral game, stupid people somehow manage to find a way on the course regardless. True Idiocy reigns on the PGA tour.Like MLK, I too have a dream. That someday we will no longer see the color of a man's skin, or judge them by their sexuality, but instead, with compassion and strength, seek to live as equals in the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.
Until that day, I will rage on in cartoons like this one about the utter stupidity of some people who, unfortunately, inhabit the same planet I do.As always, your readership and your comments help to make the world go round, so please continue to add them. I will try to do a better job of responding.
There isn't a way to leave comments in the Bull Pen so please feel free to leave your comments under the latest cartoon that I post.

A Drew Litton Calendar is Coming!
A Drew Litton Calendar is Coming
We’ve begun production on the first ever Drew Litton wall calendars. My wife, Marcia, is helping input the events and I’m working on choosing the images. We’re doing a super cool calendar with dates for all of the major sports events of 2010 plus cartoons for every month. We weren’t able to get the daily desk calendars done. I just don’t have the financial resources right now to make that happen. This calendar is really an experiment. If it goes well then we will start to do a lot more merchandise in 2010 including a new book. So you can help me out by telling all your friends about the Drew Litton calendar (not to mention this blog). The more people who know about it the better. I’m also exploring doing a few Christmas Craft shows but I’m not sure about that yet. If any one has any ideas about that, I’m all ears. If there is any other merchandise you would like to see made available for this Holiday season feel free to let me know. You might remember a poll we ran back in September. It was a big help. -
Rockies Ride Fun While It Lasted

A Great Ride But…
Doesn’t it kind of leave us all hanging upside down a bit. Waiting for something more that didn’t quite get there. But that said, wasn’t it just a blast to have the Rockies back in the playoffs!! Rocktober Rules!
Now, how about them Broncos! -
Coors Field in the Cold

Chilly Willy
Colorado sports fans are the most resilient in sports. Only those zany Cheeseheads who follow the Green Bay Packers can come close to matching them. Buffalo fans? Come on. They don’t even show up when it’s warm.
So no matter the elements Fans in Colorado are there. Cheering loudly. Or at least trying to. -
Rockies-Phillies: All Tied Up

So it’s All Tied Up.
The Rockies come home with the series even. Or is it?
Fans have a lot more control then we often give ourselves credit for. We choose the price we will pay for tickets, whether we endorse a coach, general manager or ownership, and, most importantly, how difficult we can make it for visiting teams and how great and loud we can make it for the home team. The ball’s in your court now Rockies fans. You can choose to make the Phillies’ visit to Coors Field, cordial or not so cordial. You can lift the Rockies and give them an advantage. A true home field advantage. It’s going to be cold, but that has never stopped Colorado fans before, so don’t let it start now. It may be even. But it’s not. They don’t call it Rocktober for nothing. -
Rockies Whittled Away Game One

Whittled.
That best describes what Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee did to the Rockies. Once a guy gets in a zone, there is often very little you can do about it but sit back and watch magic. The good thing is…he doesn’t pitch today. All the Rockies need is one game. And then it’s back to Coors Field and Rocktober in the Rockies. -
Rockies Rat Race

A photo finish
It’s going to be an exciting end to the Rockies season as they move down the final turn for home. Can they hold off the Giants? Cant they make this amazing run with Jim Tracy at the helm to get to the playoffs. Don’t know but it’ll be fun watching. -
It’s…Rockies Season!

The addition of Jason Giambi to the Rockies lineup certainly is an indication of the seriousness the franchise is placing on this run to the pennant. It comes at a perfect time too. After seeing those first two Broncos exhibition games, the Rockies simply MUST stay in contention. Otherwise what will we do when October rolls around?
