First and Foremost, A huge Hello to my pal, and yours, Gene Anderson. Here’s a brief note from Gene I got on Tuesday night off of Facebook.
Gene: “well heck-the family is keeping you guys up to date. I can’t add to it so tomorrow I’ll talk about the best apple juice ever.” We can hardly wait Mr. Anderson!

I drew this cartoon for Universal Press (my syndicate) in the almost near stupor of completing my Super Bowl Cartoon Marathon for ESPN.com on Sunday night/Monday morning. I must admit. All-nighters are much harder than they used to be but there simply is no other way to do the 10 cartoons I needed to do (9 for the SB blog and the 1 for the syndicate.) Any way, I hope you enjoy. And if you know a Patriots fan, it’s the perfect little “in your face” cartoon to e-mail every few days or so until the start of next season. Just a thought.

Two old Geezers,
standing by the bleachers,
chewing their players out all day.
They’re pouting and sulking,
snarling and hulking,
Two Asses who grimace and bray.

They can’t stand to grin,
They can’t stand to win
They whine when they can’t get their way.
They have absolutely no fun
I can’t wait til they’re done
With this upcoming Super Bowl day.

Cartoon drawn for ESPN.com

This is another Tebow/Brady cartoon of mine, this one from today’s ESPN. When I’m drawing nationally I have to take into account there are a lot more fans out there than just Broncos fans. Hence this toon is from the Patriots perspective.

The streak had to end sometime. And this seemed like as good a place as any. The Patriots were a good test for the Broncos and Tim Tebow. Turnovers will cost you every time. Overall, I thought the Broncos really showed that they are capable of playing at the Patriots level. And Tebow showed he is very capable of throwing accurate passes. The thing I find most encouraging is that Tebow gets better with each game.

A quick note: The 2012 Calendars are on temporary backorder. We’ve sold out our first shipment. The next shipment is due to arrive any day now. Also if you have ordered calendars already and have had any problems please contact Mary at drewlittonstore@gmail.com. We’ve had a few non-security glitches with the PayPal. Nothing to be alarmed about on your end, we just want to make sure you get your stuff and you’re happy with your purchases. Adding this storefront is a big step in the right direction for me as I try to continue to find new revenue streams and get you fun products you enjoy.

This weekend it’s Brady vs the Boy Wonder. It’s the NFL regular season game of the century. And it’s Fox vs. the Grinch himself. I’m not a big fan of Bill Belichick, for numerous reasons. Josh McDaniels being the biggest one.
So I thought it would be a good day to revisit one of my favorite cartoons from a few years back. As they say, the Devil is in the Details. I’ll be drawing for the Chicago Tribune for Saturday, 9News on Sunday night and for ESPN.com on Monday! It should be a fun weekend. Oh, and signing those calendars all of you have ordered. Thanks for that! You all Rock!
