The War of the Public Enemies
I’m a huge Johnny Depp fan and can’t wait to see his newest movie “Public Enemies”. I was, of course, particularly fond of the films title because it plays right into baseball’s ugliest family feud, the Yankees vs. the Red Sox. So here’s a cartoon that goes out to the boys of summer.
Don’t forget our caption contest for the week which is winding down. Get those last minute entries in pronto.

Question: Are you as tired of the constant focus on steroids in baseball as I am? If I don’t draw another cartoon about it all, I’m more than fine. Admittedly I am conflicted. It makes for good cartoon material. On the other hand I relate to the guy in the chair in this cartoon. Do you feel the same way? Let me know by offering your comments.
Reinvent Event
I attended Andrew Hudson’s Reinvent Event yesterday. It was kind of a Networking program. I’ll be telling you more about it soon here on the blog. Stay tooned.

Clint Was Class
If you’re looking for the real reason Clint Hurdle lost his job, this cartoon, an old one from my days at the Rocky, pretty much spells it out. Sure , we can blame the Monfort’s (as I’ve been known to do more than a few times) but looking at the wrecking ball of this current economy, I think I’ll not point the finger today. Sure, The Monforts can’t compete with the likes of the Yankees or Red Sox but, really, who can? Until baseball puts in a salary cap to even the playing field, great guys like Clint Hurdle get pushed out the door. Here’s my wish. That Hurdle inks a deal with one of the teams with deep pockets. And then wins a World Series or two. Good luck Skipper. There was none finer.

Just a Note
The greatest web guy on the planet, Steve Foster, will be doing some fine-tooning of the website in the next few days. If you experience any oddities for the next few days please bear with us. We’re trying to take this site from what was originally intended to be a portfolio site and transforming it into a real live website, with a little more ability to grow it in the days and months ahead. Thanks for being a part of it all.
Drew
Thanks to everyone who is stopping by. It’s so great to have this Web site to continue to bring you my cartoons. Some of you have taken the time to post and even e-mail,. Know that I will answer each and every e-mail as soon as I can. I caught this horrendous cold Sunday and it has knocked me for a loop. So I’ll get to them pronto. I invite you all to tell everyone you know that this is the place to get new Drew cartoons.
