Though they came up short the U.S. Women’s soccer team has inspired a new generation of young athletes to shoot for the moon. Congrats to Japan, a nation in need of healing, who played with poise and congrats to team USA for representing our country so proudly. Way to go Ladies!

Soccer: So here’s the deal…
We’re about to be inundated with World Cup Soccer, and, yes, I will be doing some Cup stuff. And I’ll will do my best not to be a condescending about it all. I want to embrace it with new vigor and an open mind. But…It’s also fair for me to come clean about my sordid past when it comes to soccer cartoons. Here’s one that kind of says how i have felt watching soccer in the past. Let me know what you think about soccer and the World Cup. Or about how much this cartoon makes you a little peeved. That’s cool too.

My cartoon of the week for North Metro Newspapers which serve Golden, Westminster, Thornton and Northglenn areas of Denver. You know what they say about Colorado weather. If you don’t like it wait five minutes and it will change.
It won’t be long until World Cup Soccer is here. I’ll have some fun with that. Oh Yeah.
